Project Description

Working as the majority partner of White Olson LLC, White Construction was proud to be part of bringing the Detroit Lions to the City of Detroit. As a part of the new 65,000 seat Ford Field football stadium and entertainment complex, White Construction provided Construction Management services for 750,000 SF of renovation and expansion to the old Hudson’s warehouse building. The project converted the historical warehouse structure into a seven (7) story facility that houses stadium suites, press boxes, locker rooms, concession and lounge areas, retail space, restaurants, bars, banquet facilities, and hotel rooms.

Originally built in 1920, the historic warehouse is the focal point of the stadium structure. Vacated in the early 90’s the facility’s interior was completely demolished, while the historical 80 year old exterior was restored. Designers incorporated glass curtain walls and skylights to bring the urban environment inside the structure. The warehouse is located on the south wall of the stadium.
